Sean has a long history with AKJ, with prior experience serving as CEO of both AK Jensen Limited and AK Jensen Investment Management in the 15 years through 2019. In 2024, Sean rejoined AKJ as the ecosystem’s Platform CEO, where he now oversees all brokerage and fund management activities.
In between his stints at AKJ, Sean spent 3 years at Quantum Financial Holdings, a fintech incubator, as Group COO and Head of Compliance as well as serving as CEO for cashback platform, Verve, a Quantum portfolio company. Before his first tenure at AKJ, Sean held a variety of roles in London in portfolio trading sales at both Bear Stearns International and Instinet UK. Sean transferred with Instinet in 1998 to London from New York to head up the Trading Research team and began his career in New York at Citibank in 1991.
Sean holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a BS in Marketing from Rutgers College. He was previously a member of the CFA Institute and CFA UK and held both the CFA and CIPM designations.
