Torstein joined AKJ in 2023 as CEO of Trading and Systems Hub and CEO of AK Jensen Norway AS.
Before joining AKJ Torstein was CFO at Norwegian Block Exchange (NBX), the first listed crypto exchange in Europe, as well as the first crypto exchange in the Nordics to receive an e-money license. Prior to NBX, he set up and headed the crypto currency task force at the Norwegian Tax Administration. He also has extensive experience as a quant trader for both hedge funds and private companies.
Torstein holds a Cand. merc. from the Graduate Program in Economics and Business Administration at NHH, with a dissertation thesis on the use of AI in quantitative trading.
